My name is Dave Cheung.  I was born and raised in Calgary Alberta Canada where I currently live.  From a young age I’ve always been very fascinated with computers and technology, which is probably the main reason I decided to get a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary.

I’ve been designing webpages for a hobby since I was 13 years old and actually received my first paychecks through advertisements from one of my early sites.  Web page design has always been a hobby for me and I’m thrilled when I see a website deliver important content in a fresh and clean way to the users.  I specialize in HTML, PHP and MySQL implementations with some minor experience in Javascript.

I’ve also been working in the software/hardware industry for about 4 years where I was a Firmware Developer and Senior Consultant. My technical experience ranges from developing software interfaces, GUI screens and processes in C, C++, C#, and SQL. I have also had extensive client interaction and have dealt with customers in order to outline necessary requirements prior to development.

My Mission

I recently left a job at an Oil and Gas Software consulting firm because it was time for a change in my career and to reflect on what I wanted to do next.  It was the first time I’ve had time to really explore my dreams and goals.

One of them has always been to work on my own and do individual projects for people or small organizations. I find that many people do not know how to fully utilize computers in a way to promote themselves or their businesses effectively and that with just a little bit of attention, patience, and some hard work, a software solution can really improve productivity and marketability. It is my hope that I will be able to create solutions that will help people vastly improve their sale of goods/products or efficiency in work processes.

My Customer Commitment

Throughout my years of life experience I have always been fascinated with people and finding out who they truly are. I would like to say I find an appreciation for everyone I interact with and have been told I’ve am easily approachable and easy to talk to because of this.

My number one goal is to ensure that all my customers are happy with their end product and that it meets and hopefully exceeds their expectations. This to me is the most gratifying thing anybody could get out of a job.
